Copay is when the plan charges a lower monthly fee and, in return, the pet parent pays part of each service used. A visit costs one amount, a test another, and the monthly bill changes with what the pet needs.
That is why a plan with copay usually has a lower entry price. The cost shows up later, at the clinic, right in the month your pet gets sick.

How to compare two plans
- Check the monthly fee
- Ask whether there is a copay and how much it costs per visit, test and surgery
- Add up the year of monthly fees plus what you would pay in copay in a normal year of use
- Check the waiting period and the annual usage limit of each plan
What is still worth checking when there is no copay
Every plan has an annual usage limit. At Pet Veter the limit is described in your copy of the contract, which you see before signing up, and it renews every 12 months.
