Senior pets are accepted at Pet Veter. The price on the plans page applies to animals under 9 years old and up to 25 kg, and from age 9 the price changes depending on the plan. The sales team gives you the quote.
A pet that signed up before age 9 stays on the same contract after its birthday.
Why sign up before age 9
The waiting period for tests, hospital stays and surgery is the same at any age. If you sign up early, it has already passed when senior care needs start to appear.
What usually matters for senior pets
- Heart tests, electrocardiogram and echocardiogram, from GOLD up
- Hormone tests, from GOLD up
- Hospital stay, from SILVER up
- Physical therapy and acupuncture, on PLATINUM, up to 10 sessions a year
- Orthopedic surgery, on PLATINUM
